چکیده
Abstract Extracting fresh water from Malaysia’s atmosphere which stores a wealth of can be conducted via the air condensation. In this study, miniature atmospheric generator (AWG) system named Mini-AWG was designed and constructed using 6 thermoelectric cooler (TEC) units, mesh-shaped filter ventilation fan. Subsequently, experimented for several days under outdoor climate at River Engineering Urban Drainage Research Centre (REDAC) in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is located urban area Nibong Tebal. The objectives work are to develop AWG TEC units generate by vacuuming into system, determine impacts humidity rates ambient temperatures values on quantity production analyze quality generated system. daily percentages relative humidity, volume produced were measured resulted that hourly amount proportional though they had inverse relationship with temperatures. maximum 0.355 litres experimentally 12 hour-period day. According various ranged between least 46% peak 75% morning night, an equation y= 1.3136x + 16.936 R 2 0.8901 attained project Mini-AWG, where Y X designated as percentage production, respectively. examined parameters compliance World Health Organization (WHO) class I drinking standards.

Technical-economic analysis of the combined system power generation, production of fresh water and cooling production
In gas power plants, a lot of energy is lost in the form of heat more than the electricity produced. In the present research, techno-economic evaluation of combined power, desalination and cooling systems running by the exhaust flue gases of a gas turbine in Iran is performed. In addition to using power generated by the gas turbine, attempts were made to use Organic Rankine Cycle to recover the...
متن کاملHydrogen production from inexhaustible supplies of fresh and salt water using microbial reverse-electrodialysis electrolysis cells.
There is a tremendous source of entropic energy available from the salinity difference between river water and seawater, but this energy has yet to be efficiently captured and stored. Here we demonstrate that H(2) can be produced in a single process by capturing the salinity driven energy along with organic matter degradation using exoelectrogenic bacteria. Only five pairs of seawater and river...
متن کاملSolar Water Condensation Using Thermoelectric Coolers
Water resources for irrigation can be difficult to obtain specially in the arid regions. However, for high humidity areas such as places close to the sea, water can be condensed from the air. In this paper we build water condensation system based on thermoelectric cooler. The system consists of cooling elements, heat exchange unit and air circulation unit. A solar cell panel unit with a relevan...

In this study, mathematical calculations developed through water-vapour phase-change theory is used to interpret the processes involved in the fresh water production of a thermoelectric distillation system. The rate of water production depends on various parameters of vaporization phenomena such as water and vapour temperatures, pressure, specific volume, heat capacity and water-vapour surface ...

Playas are low-lands which is considered to be the locations of accumulation of superficial and ground waters fromhigher elevations and these waters have different types of salts and various salinity level. Therefore, because of lack ofrainfall and fresh-water both for human and animal useage or even for plants, it is needed to apply proper methods toharvest fresh water from these saline-waters...
